Can I Get A Carers Grant?<\/h2>\n

The main source of funding you may be familiar with is the Government backed Carer\u2019s Allowance, which is a taxable benefit paid to carers over 16 years of age who care for over 35 hours a week. However the main stumbling block for carers is that you must not earn more than \u00a3123 a week.
\nCarers Credit is available for those working at least 20 hours a week caring for 1 or more people and is applicable to those over the age of 16 and under state pension age. The carers credit helps to fill gaps in your National Insurance record with credits.<\/p>\n

Currently those residing in Scotland can get access to the Young Carers grant which entitles carers to an extra \u00a3300 yearly payment for those between the ages of 16 & 18 who care for 1 to 3 people for an average of 16 hours per week.<\/p>\n
